knightinshinarmorRemy had handwavily been an opossum for the better part of the month of February. Fortunately, he lived in a sentient boarding house, which was able to change his room into a very nice swamp, well suited for an opossum (and his three cats), so he had had everything he'd needed the whole time.
Unfortunately, being an opossum didn't stop Remy from wanting to wander, and after nearly a month of being foiled in his attempts, he finally managed to make it from the warm, friendly confines Midnight had provided into the hallway, where the needs of multiple humans outweighed those of a lost opossum (or his three cats). He got a look at the big wider world, panicked, and promptly "died" -- and turned back into his normal, furless, clawless, tailless self.
He picked his head up, groggy from the after effects of the opossum's instinctual playing-dead process, and tried to get his bearings.
"This is new," he noted. ". . . I really hope no one wanders by before I can get my pants."
[laaaaaaaaaaa, what even are brains? Anyway, open! Come gawk at the naked mutant man! I figure we've at least got a couple pings before Midnight tries to cover him up. . . .]
